Our client, a prominent player in the Oil & Gas sector, is actively looking for a Contracts Engineer to join their dynamic team. They are carrying out a full review of sub-contractor agreements and suppliers to support them on maintenance operations over the next 2 years and beyond.
This contract position is an excellent opportunity to leverage your expertise in contract planning, development, and administration within a technically challenging and stimulating environment.
Key Responsibilities: - Translating project-specific objectives into appropriate Contracting and Materials Management Strategies.
- Advising Project Management on quality issues and supporting efforts to resolve them.
- Overseeing Contracting Strategy Workshops, ensuring the consideration of appropriate alternatives and market intelligence.
- Engaging in pre-qualification activities to engage a broad contractor community and evaluating critical success criteria.
- Reviewing and endorsing proposed bid slates and contract award recommendations.
- Supporting the Senior Contracts Engineering Consultant in the mentorship and development of SMEs and Specialists.
- Engaging with contractor executive management to develop strategic relationships and resolve critical issues.
- Championing the continuous improvement incorporating the company's lessons learned.
Skills and Qualifications: - Proven experience in contract engineering, administration, or material management.
- Demonstrable leadership experience, preferably in project management within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Comprehensive understanding of project execution and contracting principles.
- Expertise in commercial negotiations and contractor management.
- Willingness to travel or relocate to project sites as necessary.
- Significant experience managing major projects and knowledge of company controls and business standards.
