Bodyshop Supervisor

Location: Loughborough

Shift Pattern: Monday-Thursday 08:00-16:30, Friday 08:00-15:30

Salary: Up to £20 per hour (Approx. £40,560 per year based on a 39 hour week)

Igloo is looking for a skilled Bodyshop Supervisor to join our client's team in Loughborough. This is a prime opportunity to take on a pivotal role in a leading vehicle repair firm known for its excellence and innovation.

The Role:

* Supervision: Lead a team of technicians, ensuring top efficiency and productivity.

* Hands-On Work: Be semi-productive (30%-40%) depending on weekly requirements.

* Collaboration: Work closely with the Bodyshop Manager, participate in meetings, and help with planning.

* Leadership: Cover for the Bodyshop Manager as needed, ensuring smooth operations.

* Real-Time Management: Provide updates on repair progress and manage job issues promptly.

* Compliance: Ensure adherence to time recording procedures and Health and Safety policies.

* Liaison: Serve as the critical link between workshop activities and office operations.

Who We're Looking For:

* Qualifications: City and Guilds, NVQ 3, or equivalent in Commercial Motor Vehicle repair.

* Experience: Extensive experience in the motor vehicle repair industry, especially with commercial vehicles. Experience in heavy commercial or rail repair, including panel and welding work, is highly desirable.

* Skills: Excellent team management, communication, and diagnostic skills.

* Knowledge: Understanding of VOSA PSV/HGV License Laws and Regulations.

* Attributes: Adaptable, flexible, able to delegate tasks effectively, and proficient with computer systems.
