Maintenance Fitter/Engineer

Location: Blackburn

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Salary: Circa £14.90 per hour

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter/Engineer to join our team in Blackburn. This role involves carrying out maintenance, repairs, and installations of mechanical equipment to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems and equipment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out necessary fixes efficiently.
• Install, inspect, and test mechanical components.
• Work collaboratively with the wider engineering team to minimise downtime.
• Follow health and safety regulations and company procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Technician or similar.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance and repair techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
