Are you a recent graduate with a passion for English and an interest in pursuing a career in education? We are seeking a motivated Cover Supervisor of English to join the dedicated team in a supportive and inspiring secondary school environment in Fareham graded 'GOOD' by Ofsted. As a Cover Supervisor of English, you will play a vital role in maintaining the continuity of learning in the absence of the regular English teacher. This role is ideal for graduates who are considering a career in teaching and want to develop classroom management skills, build experience, and work closely with experienced educators. You will supervise pre-planned English lessons, encourage students to engage with their work, and help them to stay on track.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver and oversee pre-planned English lessons, ensuring students remain focused and productive
Support students with their learning and encourage their engagement with English topics
Maintain a positive and safe classroom environment, managing behavior in line with school policies
Provide feedback to the regular teacher on student engagement and progress
Build rapport with students, fostering a supportive and respectful learning atmosphere
