The Role

As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our clients, primarily owner-managed businesses, across a range of financial tasks.

• Preparing accounts and financial statements
• Processing client records efficiently and accurately
• Producing management accounts
• Completing and reviewing VAT returns
• Handling basic client queries and general administrative duties

The Person

To be successful in this role, it is likely that you are:

• Accurate, detail-focused, and highly organised
• Skilled in IT, with knowledge of Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, and CCH being a plus
• Able to manage time effectively and meet deadlines under pressure
• A strong communicator with excellent verbal and written skills
• Self-motivated, proactive, and a great team player

Requirements

• AAT qualified or currently studying ACCA
• At least 3 years of experience in an accountancy practice
