The Role
As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our clients, primarily owner-managed businesses, across a range of financial tasks.
Key Responsibilities - Preparing accounts and financial statements
- Processing client records efficiently and accurately
- Producing management accounts
- Completing and reviewing VAT returns
- Handling basic client queries and general administrative duties
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise The Person
To be successful in this role, it is likely that you are:
- Accurate, detail-focused, and highly organised
- Skilled in IT, with knowledge of Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, and CCH being a plus
- Able to manage time effectively and meet deadlines under pressure
- A strong communicator with excellent verbal and written skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, and a great team player
Requirements
- AAT qualified or currently studying ACCA
- At least 3 years of experience in an accountancy practice
