Grounds Maintenance Operative
(Mowing & Landscape) 

Based at Northwood depot, Matlock DE4 2LF.
Hourly rate £11.98
Hours of work Monday to Thursday 7am - 3pm, 2.30pm finish on Fridays.
NEED a full Driving licence
Temp to Perm contractMain Duties and Responsibilities for Grounds Maintenance Operative:

Be fully aware of and comply with all Road Traffic and Highway Regulations.
Organising their own workload in liaison with the area Team Leader and will be expected to utilise their own initiative on a regular basis.
Ensure all paperwork is undertaken as required by the line manager.
Be responsible for vehicles, plant and equipment and associated resources utilised by the post holder.
proactively deal with enquiries from members of the public in a polite and professional manner and ensure the Council's Customer Care procedures are adhered to at all times.
Ensure all Council assets/resources are utilised, maintained, stored and secured in an efficient and effective manner.
To be able to interpret route sheets, site plans, drawings and specifications and ensure all operations are undertaken in accordance with these.
To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the overall function, commensurate with the grading and level of responsibilities of the post.
Tasks for Grounds Maintenance Operative role could also include: 

Mowing grass
Re-turfing
Landscaping
Planting
Using gardening equipment
Using hand tools  
General housekeeping Immediate start for this position (Grounds Maintenance Operative)
