You will have:

Considerable experience in Managing a Residential Children's Home or previous experience as a Responsible Individual
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
In-depth knowledge of Ofsted requirements, children's legislation, and safeguarding policies.
Strong experience in developing and mentoring staff teams.
Excellent leadership, management, communication, and organisational skills.
An ability to commute to site whenever needed

Key responsibilities:

Ensure the service meets and exceeds Ofsted regulatory requirements and aligns with all relevant legislation, including the Children's Homes Regulations and the Quality Standards.
Provide support, coaching, and guidance to Registered Managers, ensuring they are fully equipped to lead their teams effectively.
Oversee the safeguarding and welfare of children, ensuring a child-centred approach is consistently applied.
Monitor and audit service performance, identifying areas for development and implementing continuous improvement plans.
Act as the main point of contact with Ofsted and local authorities, attending inspections, meetings, and reviews as required.
Ensure that all policies and procedures align with best practices and legal frameworks.
Work closely with senior leadership teams to drive forward the strategic vision and development of the service.
