Consumer Additions are currently partnering with a high growth e-commerce business to recruit a 6 month Interim Commercial Finance Manager - Strategic Projects.

Central London

Hybrid Working - 2 days in the office

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to evaluate the potential impact of strategic change projects, including cost-benefit analysis, ROI calculations, and scenario modelling.
  • Assess the financial viability and sustainability of proposed changes, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop comprehensive business cases that support strategic change initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Provide financial justification for strategic projects by quantifying benefits, costs, and risks, and presenting these to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to align financial planning with the company’s strategic goals, ensuring that change projects are financially sound and support long-term growth.
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions, offering insights on financial implications and helping shape the direction of change initiatives.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes related to strategic change projects, ensuring accurate allocation of resources and alignment with the company’s financial plans.
  • Monitor and track project budgets, ensuring that expenditures are within approved limits and that any variances are addressed promptly.
  • Act as a key finance liaison between project teams, senior management, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of financial expectations, results, and risks.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and updates on strategic change projects to stakeholders, providing clear and concise summaries of financial performance and project status.
  • Identify and assess financial risks associated with strategic change projects, including potential impacts on cash flow, profitability, and overall financial stability.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to protect the company’s financial interests and ensure the successful execution of change initiatives.
  • Establish KPIs and financial metrics to measure the success of strategic change projects, ensuring that financial goals are met and that projects deliver expected returns.
  • Regularly report on project performance, including financial outcomes, variances from plan, and recommendations for corrective actions if needed.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the scope of strategic change projects, particularly in areas related to financial management, reporting, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Minimum of 5 years PQE in finance roles with a focus on commercial finance, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), or business partnering.
  • Experience within Telco is desirable.
  • Proven track record of providing financial support for strategic initiatives, particularly in complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Experience working on strategic change projects, including business transformation, mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, or other significant business changes.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess the financial impact of strategic decisions and to develop comprehensive financial models and business cases.
  • Extensive experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and modelling to support decision-making in strategic projects.
  • Proficiency in creating and analyzing complex financial models, including scenario analysis and sensitivity testing
