Estates Manager

Red Rock Consultants are recruiting for an independent School based in Ashford.

They are seeking a dedicated and experienced Estates Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the school estate, ensuring that the premises are well-maintained, safe, and secure for all users.

This is a key role in supporting the learning environment by providing high-quality facilities management services.

Key Responsibilities:

* Supervise the Site Team and meet regularly with the Bursar to ensure smooth communication.

* Carry out regular site inspections, ensuring prompt action is taken on any potential Health and Safety risks.

* Act as Fire Safety Officer and complete relevant risk assessments.

* Ensure the school complies with all current legislation in relation to site safety.

* and facilities management.

* Manage the maintenance of key services, including heating, lighting, and water systems.

* Oversee the upkeep of school grounds, ensuring cleanliness and tidiness at all times.

* Liaise with contractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with site procedures and safety checks.

* Manage the school's minibuses, including routes and driver absences.

* Budget management and Contract management.

Essential Requirements:

* Proven experience in facilities and estate management.

* Strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations.

* D1 license desirable or willingness to complete relevant training.

* Level 3 NEBOSH, IOSH or similar H&S certs

* Experience in managing security systems and fire safety protocols (Desirable)

* Knowledge of energy and water efficiency practices (Desirable)

* Local to the Ashford area.
