***BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER***
Our clients are on the lookout for a driven IT Business Development Manager to grow their footprint across African markets. This is an immediate office-based opportunity which requires previous vendor experience (IT distributors or resellers) and regular (at least once a month) overseas travel to strengthen and develop relationships.
Salary £35K + c.£7K variable + paid parking
Key responsibilities for the Business Development Manager include,
- Composing an annual business plan
- Deliver high quality implementation of strategies and plans
- Drive robust sales management and sales forecast processes, delivering predictable revenue and cash flow
- Drive forecasting accuracy and quality improvement
- Implement a system for the continuous review of resources
- Provide quarterly feedback to management on market, partner, category, and vendor specifics
- Maintenance, expansion, and sophistication of database and social engines
- Vendors include Avaya, Canon, Dell, HPE, Epson, Fortinet, NetApp, Huawei, Extreme Networks and more
The ideal Business Development Manager will need the following,
- Educated to degree level or the equivalent
- Have previous experience with vendor/s
- Recent relevant vendor certification
- Experience/knowledge of African markets extremely desirable
- Flexibility for business travel to vendors in Africa at least once a month
- Experience of marketing activities to generate leads and awareness
- Deliver a yearly business plan and financial plan
- Production of weekly, bi-monthly, monthly forecast on sales
- Solid experience in either a partner or distributor of relevant vendor goods and services
- Strong negotiation and communication skills essential
