Job Title: Production OperativeLocation: Woodbridge, UKCompany: Eden Recruitment Solutions Ltd T/A Just Temps acting as an Employment Business for the supply of Temporary StaffDepartment: ProductionReports to: Shift Supervisor / Shift ManagerWorking Hours: Rotational 05:45am - 13:45pm /13:45pm - 22:00pm.Pay: £11.94 per hour General Description of Duties & ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Operative to join our client's team in Woodbridge. The successful candidate will assist in the manufacture of their products, ensuring that all activities align with their strict quality, hygiene, and safety standards.Key Responsibilities:Manufacturing:Assist in the production of products according to specific recipes and specifications.Ensure the highest standards of quality and hygiene, following the Company's HACCP and health & safety procedures.Hygiene & Contamination Prevention:Follow good manufacturing practices, ensuring raw materials, products, and equipment are protected from contamination.Clean as you go, maintaining hygiene standards consistently.Critical Control Points (CCP):Adhere to procedures related to critical control points Report any out-of-specification results or potential risks immediately.Team Collaboration:Work effectively as part of a team to complete daily tasks and meet production schedules.Specific DutiesInstruction Following: Take instructions from the Shift Supervisor or Shift Manager regarding daily production requirements.Materials Handling: Receive and check raw materials and packaging, ensuring they are in date and in good condition.Packaging Inspection: Handle and inspect packaging materials (e.g., glass units, plastic buckets) safely and hygienically.Product Labelling: Ensure correct application of lids, labels, and tamper-evident seals, verifying date codes and quality.Palletising & Wrapping: Stack finished products onto pallets according to specifications and shrink-wrap them adequately.Cleaning & Equipment Maintenance: Clean factory areas and process equipment as per instructions and ensure tools are properly handled.Product Testing: Undertake product testing Health & Safety ResponsibilitiesMaintain a neat work area to minimise the risk of slips and trips.Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and use appropriate PPE.Follow guidelines for safe equipment use and proper care.Be aware of COSHH symbols and report any accidents or near misses immediately.Company EquipmentEnsure all equipment under your care is maintained in good working order.Report any defects, damage, or wear and tear to the Shift Supervisor or Shift Manager.General DutiesWork independently within your level of training.Carry out special duties and attend training or meetings as required.Complete other production tasks as instructed by the Shift Supervisor or Shift Manager.Requirements:Ability to work as part of a team.Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safetyWillingness to follow instructions and learn new tasks.Flexibility to work different shifts as required.Join our client and be a part of a team that values innovation, passion, integrity, and quality.
