2 Year FTC during training, moving to permanent after training

A global technology company are looking to take on a Trainee Field Service Engineer. You will gain invaluable training in both technical and soft skills, helping to secure a long-lasting career with a fantastic organization.

Role Responsibilities:

To complete the installation, maintenance, and calibration of Coordinate Measurement, Optical and X-ray systems at customer premises
To primarily support customers within the UK, with the opportunity to work in Ireland & Europe.
Performing machine acceptance tests following the relevant national standards.
Diagnosing and Fault-finding repairs/breakdowns at customer sites & respond as instructed.
Providing excellent customer service and maintaining regular communication with customers.
Maintaining and planning stock, tools, and equipment based on specific tasks and customer requirements.
Ensuring accurate customer and internal documentation completion to maintain full compliance and traceability.
Supporting customers by remotely accessing customer equipment to resolve machine issues.
Working closely within the team, adhering to agreed service level agreement commitments, and highlighting any escalations as appropriate.
Maintenance and adherence to company and customer H&S policy and procedures.
Coordination and self-management of Travel & Hotel bookings.
Assisting and supporting other team members on complex repairs, retrofits, and maintenance activities.
Your experience & qualifications:

Essential:

Technical Apprenticeship completed or
Experience in an electronics/mechatronics engineering role within the armed forces
Full UK driving license
Permitted to work throughout UK and Ireland.
