Here at ARM we are recruiting for a full time contract Windows SME for a global IT services and consultancy client of ours.

Overview:

We're seeking a Platform SME (Windows) who will have strong experience with platform hardening in-line with CIS industry benchmarks. The Windows SME will join a project team tasked with the automation of configuration management across an Enterprise Estate.

Candidates will be self-starting and able to self-manage workload with an engineering mindset and will have strong knowledge of security hardening principles in-line with CIS industry benchmarks.

Predominately remote working with travel to London once a week.

Responsibilities:

• Be an integral part of an existing engineering team responsible for the development and roll out of automated configuration management scanning across Windows, Linux, AWS and Azure instances
• Review and Approve new controls or whitelist amendments from the corporate approved CIS baselines
• Develop, where required automation and integrations for CIS baselines within Github
• Daily collaboration with the configuration management engineering team to drive timely deployment of new baselines

Qualifications:

Experience required-

• Strong knowledge of Security frameworks, standards and CIS baselines
• Strong system administration background (Windows Server, VMware ESXi etc.) in a hybrid (cloud/on-prem) environment including AWS and Azure.
• Configuration Management
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Ability to create technical documentation and/ or SOPs
• Experience with GIT and Jira

Desirable experience-

• Ansible
• Chef, Chef Inspec
• SNOW integration
• strong communication skills with a developer mindset
• Independent and able to work with time sensitive tasks
• Experience / Exposure too Vulnerability / Patch Mgmt, Incident Triage and Response and SOC.
