Systems Engineer

2-4 days per month in office - Bristol based - Hybrid/Remote Working

You will be joining the Systems Engineering Discipline group that plays an integral part of delivering and maintaining operational excellence for UK maritime Defence.

What the role of the Systems Engineer entails:

Some of the main duties of the Systems Engineer will include:

Capture and agreed technical requirements in accordance with company and programme processes
Deliver compliant technical solutions against contractual requirements and regulations
Deliver design change requirements and documentation generated, captured, configured and controlled in accordance with company processes
Provide specialist technical input, review and support into projects beyond immediate scope as an independent thereof
Leverage systems experience and knowledge in both the tactical and strategic development of other engineers and relevant members of other supporting functionsWhat experience you need to be the successful Systems Engineer:

Essential:

Experience and knowledge in Requirements and Integration Verification and Validation (IVV) of products
Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in a STEM subject
Attained or progressing towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) status
Extensive expertise and understanding of the Engineering lifecycle
Proficiency in applying Systems Engineering principlesDesirable:

Proficiency in Agile methodologies
Experience in the defence sector
Expertise in high-integrity control systems
