Ward Manager - Registered Mental Health Nurse

£45,000 - £51,000

37.5 hours per week + On call duties

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Ward Manager who is a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our client's Mental Health team. As a Ward Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a mental health ward, ensuring high-quality care for patients and providing leadership to the nursing staff.

Qualifications
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification with current registration with the UK NMC
  • Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role within a mental health setting
  • Strong clinical expertise in mental health nursing, with a comprehensive understanding of evidence-based practices and regulatory standards
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage the operational and administrative aspects of the ward, including staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation
  • Conduct assessments and develop care plans for patients, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic and individualized care
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care delivery, implementing improvements as needed to enhance patient outcomes
  • Build strong relationships with patients, families, and external stakeholders, advocating for the needs of the individuals in your care
  • Champion a culture of diversity, equality, and inclusion within the ward, promoting a supportive and respectful environment for both patients and staff
