Pay Rates:

£12.82 - £13.85 paye inclusive of holiday pay per hour

Rates quoted above are depending on skill and experience.

Please note our client only pays via direct engagement which would mean a paye inclusive of holiday hourly payment.

Working Days and Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours between 8am to 6pm

Job Summary

As part of the recruitment team, you will assist in the day-to-day management of the Recruitment Office to ensure a high-quality recruitment service. This includes liaising with internal managers and staff, members of the public, and external advertising agencies. You will also deputise for the HR Recruitment Manager in their absence, supervising staff and managing workloads. All team members are expected to act as role models, upholding the organisation's values and promoting an inclusive and compassionate culture in support of delivering high-quality healthcare services.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

* You will assist the Recruitment Manager in overseeing recruitment processes, including the supervision of staff within the Recruitment Office.

* Key responsibilities include ensuring effective use of ESR and E-Recruitment systems, compliance with Trust Recruitment Guidelines and NHS standards, and liaising with advertising agencies to manage job postings, and assist in checking proofs, ensuring publication deadlines are met.

* Ensure that all advertising is carried out in line with current Trust policy and that the most economical media available is used. This will include ensuring that all vacancies are input onto Trac/ Health Jobs UK and NHS Jobs

* You will respond to recruitment enquiries from members of the public and staff, monitor DBS checks, and provide advice on employing migrant workers and applying for Certificates of Sponsorship (work permits) when necessary.

* You will deal with requests for application forms via email, post, telephone or from visitors to the recruitment office.

* Additional duties involve compiling recruitment reports (based on an up-to-date analysis of recruitment statistics), checking invoices, and participating in recruitment events.

* You will also support the development of team members' skills and contribute to project work related to national and local recruitment initiatives, whilst ensuring regular audit information is requested from the Workforce and Payroll office and that checks are made to ensure all new staff have received a DBS check where applicable.

Line Management/Financial Management Responsibilities:

* Support the Recruitment Office team to develop their skills, knowledge and use of ESR and E-Recruitment systems.

Specific Additional Responsibilities:

* Project work connected with any national or local recruitment initiatives.

* Attend and participate in divisional/directorate/departmental meetings where appropriate.

* Assist in setting up Service Level agreements with divisions/departments and ensuring agreed timetables are adhered to.

* Be involved with the administration processes of recruitment as necessary and to have specific responsibility of dealing with senior manager posts.

Person Specification

* Experience working as a Recruitment Officer/equivalent in a large complex organisation (preferably within the NHS/Healthcare sector)

* NHS experience including undertaking Recruitment activity using NHS Jobs and ESR (desirable)

* NVQ Level 3/ ECDL/ CLAIT or equivalent experience gained through relevant employment

* Possession of or working towards CIPD Foundation Certificate in People Practice or equivalent experience

* Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook

* Understanding and experience of recruitment practices

* Experience supervising staff

* Strong communication and organisational skills

* Ability to prioritise workload well and showcase strong attention to detail

* Enthusiastic and self-motivated

* Willingness to undertake any training necessary to carry out duties effectively

* Be committed to continuing professional development
