Client: With a portfolio of projects in the UK, my client is recognised as a market leading building services contractor. They are renowned for large fit out and new build projects in commercial office, data centre and public sectors. Clients include major law and financial companies, as well as large blue chip main contractors. After a successful year they are now looking to increase turnover to £300M, consequently they are looking to recruit a Senior Electrical Project Manager to deliver a £40m R&D Campus expansion in Oxford.
Role: Senior Electrical Project Manager - £80,000 - £90,000 + Car allowance + Travel + Bonus
The successful candidate will take responsibility of delivering the electrical package on major schemes ranging from £10 - £50 million M&E value, from post tender through the procurement phases to delivery and handover.
Role/responsibilities:
* Tender review and validation
* Design Review liaising with consultants, clients and main contractors
* Procurement of major plant and subcontractors
* Programming of works using MS Project / Asta
* Oversee all trade contractors
* Leading the project from a commercial aspect, overseeing profitability and reporting finically to contracts manager
* Management of commissioning stages and project handover to the client
* Health & Safety (RAMS)
* Commercial Responsibility (working alongside Quantity Surveyor)
* Team Coordination
* Liaising with client team, main contractor and sub-contractors
* Progress meetings with sub-contractors and clients
The ideal candidate:
* Will be familiar working in a fast-paced environment
* Experience working in the Commercial New Build, Healthcare or Life Sciences sectors
* Experience managing projects to a minimum of £5M within your own discipline
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in a management role
* Ideally the candidate will have subcontracted with Tier 1 main contractors.
