ABOUT US:

Glenfield Invicta is part of the AVK Group, market leaders in the supply of valves, fittings and flow control equipment to the Water, Wastewater, Oil and Gas industries throughout the world. Glenfield Invicta is an established and industry leading, specialist MEICA contractor for valves, penstocks, and actuators, operating across the UK.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

In this role you will have the responsibility for the delivery all service works within a defined region from receipt of contract through to completion.

The core function is to plan and coordinate service works, by ensuring project management, site labour resources, materials, plant, and sub-contractors are scheduled, allocated and managed effectively.

You will have management responsibility for all Project Engineers and Site Technicians in the region and therefore the control of their deployment.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Ensure all projects are planned, managed, and delivered safely.

Ensure the commercial and contractual elements of each project are understood, with works planned and delivered accordingly.

Ensure projects are planned, managed, and delivered within agreed budgets.

Arrange scoping of site works providing sufficient information to support the production of quotations for service works.

Support the production of significant quotations for service and related works.

Support/assist the Project and Service sales teams in maximising opportunities.

Provide progress updates on project plans to enable accurate turnover forecasting and labour scheduling.

Manage/maintain the highest possible standards of Health and Safety, in accordance with current legislation and procedures/policies.

Lead, develop and performance manage the Service team within the area.

Ensure team compliance with Glenfield Invicta policies and procedures.

Produce or assist in producing project H&S documentation, programmes, reports, EWN's, CE's and other contractual documentation as required.

ABOUT YOU:

Previous management experience in the delivery of service projects, developing and stabilising a team of Project Engineers, such that service works are effectively planned then delivered safely on budget and on time, first time.

Previous experience in a similar or related role, preferably within the water industry and the construction project environment.

Previous managerial experience within a similar function.

Commercial awareness (forecasting, construction contracts, change management)

Flexibility to manage workload to take account of new deadlines and conflicting priorities.

Exceptional planning and organisation skills, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience in managing subcontractors.

Proven experience of dealing with key customers in a professional manner.

Excellent communication and solution orientated problem-solving ability.

Demonstrate attention to detail and observation.

Flexibility to adjust workload priorities to take account of new deadlines.

Continuous Improvement Mindset.

IT fluency with MS Office software suite.

Full driving licence
