Senior Civil Engineer - Active Travel

First People Solutions is looking to speak with Civil Engineers with a background in Active Travel or Highways design in Glasgow who are open to new opportunities. We are working with a leading consulting engineer, recognised for sustainable engineering design and commitment to creating a positive impact on the environmental.

In this role, you'll be leading and delivering on projects focused on urban infrastructure, including pedestrian walkways, bus lanes, urban roads, cycle lanes, sustainable drainage, and many more. You'll be working alongside like-minded people who want to make difference.

To be considered, you must be an experienced Civil Engineer from a well-established engineering consultancy, have a strong background in highways / active travel design, knowledge of appropriate design manuals and regulations and able to team an established team.

What we need from you:

Chartered (CEng) status preferred
Degree in Civil Engineering
4 to 8 years of experience working in active travel or highways for a design engineering consultancy
Strong design skills (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc)
Able to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
Able to lead and influence a team of Technicians/Engineers
