Salary: £28.00 - £30.00 per hour

Employee Relations ManagerCastlefield Recruitment are working in partnership with an NHS organisation based in the South East that requires an experienced Employee Relations Manager for an initial three month assignment commencing in July. This role is hybrid / remote with one day per month expected on site.

Key responsibilities will include;

  • To act as an ER Manager providing effective advice and support in a timely and proactive manner to managers
  • Facilitate and lead on complex employee relations cases, advising managers on best ER practice ensuring that advice given complies with good employment practice, employment legislation and Trust-wide standards
  • To act as an advocate for an open, fair and transparent employment relations environment, working in partnership with trade union representatives and managers to achieve this aim
  • To advise managers in all employee relations including, bullying and harassment, conduct, Performance Management, grievance and sickness absence in line with the organisation’s employment policies, employment law and good practice
  • To assist the Managers and HR Business Partners in preparing responses to employment tribunal claims and preparing for hearings
  • Assists with the revision of employment policies to ensure the Trust has appropriate policies and procedures that reflect current employment law and good practice

Key experience and skills to include;

  • Previous experience of working in Human Resources in a provider healthcare environment
  • A degree plus CIPD qualification or masters-level qualification or significant commensurate experience in a senior HR role CIPD qualified or significant experience in an employee relations role
  • Ability to analyse complex situations such as serious disciplinary cases 
  • Ability to work unsupervised and to demonstrate ability to use initiative in relation to resolving employee relations issues
  • Up to date knowledge of employment law and good employment practice
