We are working with a growing provider of children's residential care to recruit a Registered Manager for their first Ofsted-registered children's home in Walthamstow. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a brand-new home and shape the future of a service dedicated to supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).

The Role

As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the leadership and operational management of the home, ensuring that children receive the highest standard of care in a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment. Your key responsibilities will include:

* Service Leadership & Development - Oversee the successful launch and development of the new children's home.

* Regulatory Compliance - Ensure full adherence to Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and achieve a minimum 'Good' Ofsted rating.

* Care Planning - Oversee the development and implementation of individualised care plans, ensuring the best outcomes for young people.

* Staff Leadership & Development - Recruit, manage, and mentor a dedicated staff team, promoting professional growth and best practices.

* Safeguarding & Child Protection - Ensure that all safeguarding procedures are strictly followed, acting as the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the home.

* Multi-Agency Working - Build strong relationships with external agencies, families, and professionals to provide a holistic approach to care.

* Budget & Resource Management - Ensure the financial efficiency of the home while maintaining high-quality care.

* On-Call Responsibilities - Participate in an on-call rota to provide support outside of normal working hours.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

* At least 2 years of experience in children's residential services within the last 5 years.

* At least 1 year of experience supervising or managing staff.

* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to enrol within 3 months).

* Strong knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and relevant legislation.

* A proven track record of achieving 'Good' or 'Outstanding' Ofsted ratings (preferred).

* Experience or knowledge of therapeutic practices and PACE (preferred).

* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

* Full right to work in the UK (we cannot offer sponsorship).

* Excellent written and spoken English.

* Availability for a May start date.
