Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the production of cost plans for New Build Residential and Mixed-Use projects across all RIBA stages, from Stage 0 (Strategic Definition) to Stage 5 (Construction). The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of cost management, with a proven ability to deliver accurate and detailed cost plans throughout the project lifecycle.

Role Requirements:

* Production of cost plans for New Build Residential and Mix Used

* Projects from RIBA Stage 0 to RIBA Stage 5

* Client liaison and attending design team meetings

* Client-side Valuations, certification and evaluation of changes

* Reviewing and analysing Main Contractors Tender submissions

* Cost exercises for clients including Value Engineering

* Maintaining cost database

* Focus on residential projects and fire remediation work

Key Skills Required:

* Experience of high-rise cladding and replacement and contractor negotiations

* Preparation of Cost/Benefit analysis of design options

* Ensuring all costs are tracked & validated/ open book evaluation

* Supporting clients by producing accurate and competitive cost estimates

* Cost comparison and main contractor selection

* Cost control and preparation of periodic financial reconciliations, reports and forecasts

* Respond to commercial and contractual disputes and claims including loss and expense, final account, changes and cost value reconciliation review

* Understanding of JCT Design & Build Contracts

* Negotiation with Contractors

* Review of pricing documents against programme and cashflow
