TimePlan are working with a SEND school in Lambeth who are seeking skilled SEND Teaching Assistants to join their supportive team.

Role and Responsibilities:As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support: Provide personalized support to students with ASD, PMLD and SLD helping them with their educational and social development.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with teachers and therapists to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and tailored learning strategies.
  • Assist: Facilitate classroom activities, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Engage: Encourage and assist students in developing essential life skills and social interactions.
  • Adapt: Modify educational materials and approaches to meet the diverse needs of each student.
  • Personal Care: Support children with personal care and toileting

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with children with ASD, SLD and PMLD in a special educational needs setting.
  • A genuine passion for supporting the development and well-being of students
  • Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or special educational needs are desirable but not essential.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
