Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with a Sefton secondary school who require an experienced Finance Officer for a temporary role. The school require the Finance Officer for the beginning of November until 20th December 2024.

It will be essential that you are experienced, have sims and finance experience and can 'hit the ground running'.

Finance

Purchase ledger including processing invoices and payment runs
· Lead in the accurate recording and monitoring of VAT and aid in the timely production of any statutory returns
· Month end procedures and reconciliations
· Posting transactions and journals to the accounting system
· Monitoring departmental budgets and liaising with budget holders
· Cash management
· Trip management
· Assisting with debt management when necessary
· To ensure the finance system is used effectively
· Ensure value for money at all timesThe essentials for registration:

Enhanced Child workforce DBS on the update service or be prepared to undertake a new one
Full and complete career history
Minimum of 2 references including your most recent employment reference
