Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN (Special Educational Needs) Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting children with a range of additional learning needs, helping them to engage with the curriculum and make progress in their education. Key Responsibilities

* Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

* Support the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons to meet individual student needs

* Assist with personal care and support where required

* Monitor and track student progress, reporting to the SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and class teacher

* Help implement strategies outlined in individual education plans (IEPs)

* Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all students

* Assist with managing student behavior in accordance with school policies

* Provide emotional support and encouragement to students as they overcome challenges

* Work collaboratively with other staff members, parents, and external agencies to support student development

Qualifications and Skills

* Experience working with children with SEN, particularly in a school setting, is highly desirable

* A calm, patient, and caring approach to working with children

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to work effectively as part of a team

* Understanding of various SEN, including but not limited to Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and physical disabilities

* Knowledge of behavior management strategies and the ability to implement them effectively
