Teaching Assistant (SEN) - Early Years

Location: Waltham Forest, East London
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Are you passionate about supporting young children with special educational needs? We are looking for a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years team in Waltham Forest. You will be working with children aged 3-5 who have a range of additional needs, including communication difficulties, developmental delays, and physical disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the class teacher in providing engaging, play-based learning experiences that cater to the individual needs of children with SEN.
Assist in implementing personalised support plans and interventions, helping children develop their social, emotional, and academic skills.
Work closely with speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and parents to ensure each child receives the right level of support.
Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where children feel valued and supported.
Monitor and record children's progress, providing feedback to the teacher and SENCO.Requirements:

Experience working with young children with special educational needs, ideally in an early years setting.
A patient and nurturing approach, with a strong ability to build relationships with children.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
