Commercial Engineer

Location: Houghton Le Spring

Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 depending on experience

An experienced Commercial Engineer is required on a permanent basis. You will be joining a successful and expanding sub-contract engineering company supplying high quality components to a wide range of industries including oil + gas, renewables, and aerospace.

The Job:

* Working with current and potential customers through the enquiry process

* Interpretation of customer requirements from engineering drawings.

* Building and maintaining customer relationships

* Instigating follow-up communications with customers to investigate further opportunities.

* Keeping up to date with industry trends

* Prepare accurate estimations and quotations for customers.

What you will bring to the team:

* 3 year+ commercial engineer experience, including project management.

* Able to read and interpret drawings including CAD design.

* Used to working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

* Experience in estimating and quoting.

This position could suit a time served Machinist who can demonstrate successful experience in a similar role.
