Minimum two years experience working with patients with spinal cord injuries
Fluent in English
Able to confidently lead a therapy team and session
Be able to lift 25kg without concern for injury to safely assist with transfers and positioning. Be physically fit to get in any positions needed to assist patient on floor, treadmill, plinth, standing, etc…
Medical knowledge to recognize spinal cord injury secondary effects
Knowledge of anatomy and physiology in relation to physiotherapy treatments
Strong communication skills to communicate between patient and therapy team on assessments, goals, therapeutic planning
Possess problem solving and critical thinking skills to determine therapeutic priorities and provide progressions or adaptations to achieve desired goals
