IT Project Coordinator

Purpose:
The IT Project Coordinator will play an important role in the delivery of IT change for the organisation. The IT project portfolio is varied, encompassing cloud-based solution implementations for different departments, IT infrastructure and application upgrades and migrations, and process transformation through the Microsoft 365 suite.
The IT Project Coordinator will support the Head of IT Projects and Technical Project Manager and will partake in a broad range of day-to-day activities, including tracking progress of project execution, creation of insightful management reporting, and supporting continuous process improvement across the IT Department. They will directly communicate with stakeholders and suppliers as needed.
The organisation is geographically dispersed, comprising of a comprehensive IT infrastructure focused on a Citrix virtual desktop delivering several line-of-business systems which reach out to all staff. Primarily based in London, the IT Department is responsible for the entire IT infrastructure, service desk support, corporate systems, IT provisioning, information security, telephony (landline and mobile), IT project management, and management information.
Key requirements:
- Understand, analyse and report on the status of projects within the IT Project Portfolio.
- Support the IT Projects team with project management processes, such as risk, issue, dependency and resource management.
- Support delivery of the IT project portfolio by liaising with stakeholders from across the organisation
- Support other functional and operational areas such as testing, documentation, and training as required.
- Undertake management of small projects where required through the entire project lifecycle with the support of the Head of IT Projects
- Follow the processes and standards for project management and documentation and promote best practice across the wider IT team
- Previous experience of working in an IT environment, where you have coordinated information and supported projects
- Awareness of project management processes with some experience of successfully managing small projects.
- A strong desire to build a career within IT Project Management.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good Microsoft application knowledge.
- Ability to summarise and organise information.
- Ability to produce clear and concise documentation.
- Good interpersonal and negotiation skills and political awareness.
- Ability to work both as part of a team and pro-actively on own initiative.
- Capacity to forge strong business relationships with external suppliers.
- Possess the ability to work to tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
- Ability to assimilate and interpret advice from both technical and non technical colleagues.
- Well organised and methodical with good time management skills.
- Are educated to degree level or equivalent in a professional or related discipline.

- A Project Management qualification (desirable)
- Qualifications in Microsoft applications (desirable)
- Experience of delivering projects to agreed time, cost and quality criteria.
