Staff enjoy their jobs and are encouraged to excel.This is a field-based role with the majority of work within an hour's drive of Peterborough, so if field-based work doesn't suit you please do not apply.----The RoleReporting to the Operations Director you would play a key role for the business, carrying out installations, service and repairs on air compressors and associated equipment to a reliably high standard. Key responsibilities will include…- Routine maintenance on a variety of Air Compressors, Gas Generators, Vacuum Pumps and Blowers. - Liaising with customers and developing relationships whilst on site. - Liaising with Colleagues and working as a team towards a goal of excellence and customer satisfaction .- Trouble shooting and diagnosing issues with equipment, identifying parts and carrying out the subsequent repairs. - Interpreting maintenance manuals, and using standard test instruments and hand tools, to carry out repairs- Having knowledge of Electrics & electronics, to read and interpret diagrams would be useful, but not essential- To work safely at all times and follow Health and Safety regulations and procedures whilst on customers sites and in our workshop- Participate in a rotating call out system once up to speed, reflected in benefits and pay- Develop additional skills to enhance and optimise your time on customers sites----The CandidateTo be considered for the Field Service Engineer role you will need to possess direct experience of mechanical service and maintenance gained within a range of settings including either factory, manufacturing or automotive: having electric/electronic knowledge or experience would be beneficial, but full training will be provided to the right candidate. Relevant technical qualification would be ideal, however time-served will also be considered, a background working in a field capacity is preferred, with experience of engaging with customers in a pressured environment ideal.
