We're partnering with a leading iNGO committed to creating lasting change in the lives of the world's most vulnerable populations to recruit a dynamic and strategic interim Senior Finance Business Partner. The role will act as a trusted advisor and partner to senior leadership, you will provide critical insights and support to ensure the successful delivery of the charity's mission.Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy & Planning: Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies to support the organisation's international programmes.
- Business Partnering: Act as a strategic partner to program directors and managers, providing financial guidance and insights to drive decision-making and optimise resource allocation.
- Budget Management: Oversee the budgeting process for international programmes, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and donor requirements.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Deliver timely and accurate financial reports, analysis, and forecasts to senior management and donors.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with international projects, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Capacity Building: Enhance financial literacy and capabilities within the international programmes team through training and mentorship.
- Team Management: Lead and develop a small team of International Finance Business Partners.
Ideal person spec;
- An accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience.
- Significant experience in a senior finance role within an international NGO or similar environment, with a strong understanding of programmatic finance.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, in a complex organisation.
- Strong understanding of donor regulations, compliance requirements, and financial management best practices in the NGO sector.
This position will initially be for 6 months with the potential to be extended. The role can be almost fully remote, or hybrid and we will consider candidates seeking both a day rate, or fixed term contract. This is for an immediate start.
