Salary: Basic salary of up to £45k DOE, plus car and performance-related bonus

Job Brief

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to enhance our team. This demanding position focuses on increasing sales performance, expanding the customer base within various market sectors, and developing new service opportunities for a wider audience. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of business development in relevant sectors, excellent communication skills, and a strategic, results-driven mindset. This role includes hybrid work with travel to customer locations being integral to the position.

Key Responsibilities

* Support and create business development strategies, pipelines, and targets in alignment with key business objectives.

* Drive business growth in collaboration with operations teams.

* Take ownership of customer tender and Request for Quotation (RFQ) requirements.

* Create customer proposal documents and facilitate resulting commercial discussions and negotiations.

* Manage Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and maintain day-to-day customer contacts.

* Analyse market trends and conduct competitor benchmarking to discover new opportunities and services.

* Liaise with a global network to maximize geographic opportunities.

* Explore cross-selling and up-selling opportunities with existing clients.

* Support continuous improvement activities related to customer satisfaction.

Requirements

* Midlands-based (ideally).

* Proven work experience in a sales management role.

* Strong knowledge and experience within the Aerospace / Automotive OEM supply chain.

* Ability to measure and analyse key performance indicators (ROI and KPIs).

* Understanding of manufacturing and resource operations.

* Excellent communication, networking, and negotiation skills.

* Strong organizational skills with a problem-solving attitude.

* Must be fluent in the native language and English
