Our client, an established construction consultancy, now have an exciting opportunity for a Structural Design Engineer to join ther team in Warwick on a permanent basis. You will need a minimum of 1 years experience to be considered for this position.

This role will give you the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across different industries whilst working alongside a strong and experienced leadership team.

Principal responsibilities:

Preparation and checking of structural designs and drawings, specifications and reports.

*

Represent our client at meetings when required, and attend site to undertake surveys and inspections.

*

Control the programmed performance of projects.

*

Brief and supervise Graduate Engineers and Technicians on the production of drawings.

*

Assist with new business opportunities

Key skills/experience required:

*

At least 1 year of experience in a similar role and working on a variety of projects.

*

Previous experience of contract negotiations.

*

A commercial understanding of fee management.

*

Have proven ability to design structural members in structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber.

*

Have an understanding of UK Building Regulations and codes of practice.

*

Familiar with design softwares such as Tekla Structural Designer, S-Frame, TEDDS, SCIA and CADS.

Qualifications:

* Degree qualified as a minimum.

* Aspiring to or working towards Incorporated or Chartered Membership of either the Institution of Structural Engineers or Institution of Civil Engineers
