We have an exciting opportunity to work as a driver for the local council. Pay rates from £15.21 per hour. The role of HGV Cat C Driver is based in Braintree.

Shifts for HGV2 Driver:

• 07:00 to 15:00 - often finishing much earlier
• Monday to Friday, occasional Saturdays following a Bank Holiday

Pay:

• From £15.21ph
• Guaranteed 7.4 hours pay per day, regardless of finishing time
• £22.81ph OT rate - paid on Saturdays and on any hours exceeding 37 in a week
• £30.42ph for Bank Holidays
• Paid weekly

Main Duties of HGV2 Driver:

• The working day starts at the council depot at 07.00

• After doing your vehicle checks, you and your team of loaders will head to a set route to collect household waste and recycling items

• All drivers must be prepared to help load the vehicle on occasion - but the role is primarily driving a rear end loader in residential areas.
