Reports to: Operations Manager / Team Leader

About the Role
This position involves working with a company that specializes in the distribution of high-performance coatings for various applications, including joinery, metal, and plastics. The role supports a team focused on production, warehousing, and logistics to ensure efficient operations and exceptional customer service.

Role Purpose
As a Customer Operations Assistant, you will serve as a crucial link between Operations and Customer Services. The role emphasizes seamless collaboration, operational efficiency, and maintaining high-quality service standards to meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Support

* Ensure customer orders are manufactured, picked, and dispatched efficiently.

* Work with team leaders to achieve daily production goals.

* Maintain compliance with health and safety standards, conducting regular inspections.

* Respond to changing customer order requirements and resolve queries effectively.

* Coordinate shipments with carriers, manage stock levels, and oversee waste scheduling.

* Ensure proper maintenance of tinting machines and uphold workspace cleanliness.

* Support team leaders in daily operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Customer Service Excellence

* Deliver outstanding customer service in-store to uphold the company's quality standards.

* Provide expert product advice and assist customers with selecting the best solutions, including custom paint mixing.

* Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.

Essential Skills and Competencies

* Strong knowledge of customer service and operational processes.

* Ability to plan and prioritize tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.

* Proficiency in IT systems, including ERP and sales order processing software.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration.

Desirable Skills

* Experience with platforms such as M365, CRM, and ERP systems.

* Forklift certification (Atlet/Counterbalance/Reach) is advantageous.
