Our client, a fast-growing company based in Pontefract, is seeking a Part-Qualified Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside an experienced Finance Manager and gain exposure to a broad range of financial activities, helping to shape the future of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Support in the preparation of financial statements and year-end processes
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Support the Finance Manager with ad-hoc projects
• Assist with VAT returns
• Help ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies

The Ideal Candidate:

• Part-qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA (or equivalent)
• A strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving
