Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join a Good-rated Ofsted primary school in DE21. This part-time role involves teaching Year 2 for two days per week and providing PPA cover for other classes on the remaining days. This position is well-suited for ECTs and those with HLTA experience looking to develop their teaching career in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging lessons in alignment with the National Curriculum
Establish a positive, inclusive classroom environment
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback
Collaborate with colleagues and engage with parents to support student development
Prepare students for national assessments
Promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Uphold school policies and encourage a respectful learning atmosphere

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
Experience in teaching (ECTs are encouraged to apply)
Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessments
