GSL Education is seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to join a thriving secondary school in Southampton. This full-time role offers a temp-to-perm pathway, with a permanent position available after the successful completion of a probation period.

About the Role:

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in:

Supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
Promoting positive behaviour strategies in line with the school's values of resilience, respect, and aspiration.
Working closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and external professionals to foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Providing one-to-one and small group support, helping students engage positively with their learning.
What We're Looking For:

Experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour - either in education or other relevant settings (e.g., youth work, social work, or residential care).
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships.
A proactive and adaptable mindset, able to manage situations with calmness and compassion.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
