HFG are currently working with a leading London market insurer to join their Expense team on a new Expense Business Partner. The role will be responsible for supporting the Head of Expense Management and Senior Finance Business Partner in the management of the group's expenses.

The role:

• Ensure clear and insightful analysis (commentary) of performance relative to plan, forecast and prior year for inclusion in management information
• Work closely with the cost centre owners through the planning process and reforecast exercises to ensure their plans / forecasts are appropriately developed and presented with clear commentary
• Support the Senior Finance Business Partner during the re-forecast process ensuring it is managed effectively with credible rationale for changes relative to plan and prior forecasts
• Play a key role alongside the Senior Finance Business Partner in helping to determine the expense strategy for the Group, identifying opportunities for efficiency and driving the successful delivery of a best in class expense service and cost saving initiatives

The right candidate for this role will be a fully qualified with strong insurance knowledge, ability to review existing models, processes and procedures and implement improvements to drive efficiency and knowledge of reconciliations and the ability to drill down to the cause of a problem.
