Our client, a prominent London-based advisory, tax, and audit firm, is seeking an experienced Manager to join their dedicated Non-Profit team. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to play a key role in delivering high-quality audit, accounts, and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of non-profit organisations.

Position Overview

As a Manager within the Non-Profit team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of audit and accounts assignments, ensuring timely delivery of exceptional client service. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with a talented team, liaising with clients, HMRC, and other professional advisors to drive successful outcomes for non-profit organisations making a positive impact in society.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of audit and accounts assignments, including planning, budgeting, and time management

  • Delegate tasks to team members, providing supervision and monitoring progress to ensure project success

  • Conduct detailed file reviews, debriefing the team with a focus on constructive feedback

  • Handle tax compliance matters, collaborating with Tax Specialists as needed

  • Finalise files for Partner review, including corporation tax calculations

  • Submit the required documentation to HMRC and Companies House

  • Utilise various IT packages, such as Pro Audit, CCH, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Promote the firm's interests with colleagues, clients, prospective clients, and third parties

  • Motivate and encourage the team, providing timely and constructive feedback

Requirements

  • Relevant Accounting Qualification (ACA, ACCA, or international equivalent)

  • Experience managing own portfolio, with a minimum of 40% audit work

  • Proven track record in non-profit audit

  • Understanding of corporate tax and VAT

  • High level of familiarity with UK auditing and accounting standards

  • Experience working in a Top 50 firm

  • Proficiency in Pro Audit and CCH (desirable)

  • Strong technical competence

  • High level of personal motivation and drive

  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills

  • Adaptable and flexible approach

  • Ability to use initiative and motivate others

  • Skilled in identifying and approaching prospects to contribute to practice development
