About us:

SEND Inclusion Support fosters an inclusive and caring educational environment for all children and young people, including those with SEND and Mental Health difficulties. Our team of dedicated specialists support a diverse range of SEND, ensuring each student's unique needs are met. SEND Inclusion Support advocate for emotional well-being and extend outreach efforts to families and children not enrolled in mainstream education. Our goal is to establish inclusive and welcoming spaces, offering equitable support and opportunities for students with SEND and Mental Health difficulties.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurture Mentor to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with students with SEND/SEMH, providing tailored support and helping to foster their educational and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support the learning and development of students with SEND/SEMH through individualised and group interventions.

* Collaborate with teachers and the SENDCo to implement effective strategies and interventions.

* Assist in the preparation and adaptation of learning materials to meet diverse needs.

* Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and families.

* Promote positive behavior and emotional well-being in the classroom.

* Engage in professional development, when necessary, to enhance and build your skills and knowledge in SEND/SEMH.

Qualifications and Experience:

* HLTA qualification or degree with experience in an educational setting.

* Experience working with students with SEND/SEMH needs is highly desired.

* Strong understanding of the challenges faced by children with SEND/SEMH and effective strategies to support them.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
