Job Title: Controls Engineer
Location: Preferably midlands based ( Anywhere in UK considered)
Salary: Up to £60,500 (Including Car Allowance) + £2,500 On-Call Allowance
Working Hours: Monday - Friday
On-Call: 1 in 4 Rota

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join our team, responsible for delivering end-to-end automation solutions. You will take projects from sales handover through to lifetime service, ensuring seamless integration and long-term operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, write, and optimize PLC code for automation systems.

*

Work with Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs for material handling and automation projects.

*

Manage projects from initial handover to final commissioning and lifetime support.

*

Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams to ensure smooth installation and integration.

*

Troubleshoot and resolve automation and control system issues.

*

Conduct site visits for system commissioning, testing, and maintenance.

*

Provide technical support, including being part of an on-call rota (1 in 4 weeks).

Skills & Experience Required:

*

Strong PLC programming skills - ability to write and debug code from scratch.

*

Experience working with Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs.

*

Proven background in automation and material handling.

*

Experience working for an integrator is preferred.

*

Knowledge of installation processes for automation projects.

*

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
