We are looking for a hands-on working Domestic Supervisor for our evening shift at Repton Prep School. You will report into the Head Housekeeper. You will be responsible for leading, supporting and overseeing the evening shift Domestic team. Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and domestic support across the School and ensuring all areas are cleaned each evening.
You will also attend weekly meetings with the Head housekeeper to report all matters that arise.
Experience of Supervisory role preferred.

Main Responsibilities: You will also have your own allocated work area where you will carry out the following:
Domestic Role
- Emptying waste bins or similar receptacles; transporting waste material to designated collection points
- Sweeping floors with brushes and mopping floors with wet or dry mops
- Suction cleaning carpeted areas and ‘spot’ cleaning carpets
- Using electrically powered scrubbing/polishing machines to burnish, scrub, polish and spray clean floors (after receiving proper instruction and training)
- Dusting, damp-wiping, washing or polishing furniture, ledges, windowsills, and external surfaces of cupboards, radiators, shelves and fitments
- Dusting light shades and fittings.
- Cleaning scuff marks, foot and fingerprints from doors and banisters
- Replenishing consumable items (soap, toilet rolls, paper towels etc.)
- Cleaning toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks, baths, showers and drinking fountains
- Using such chemical cleaners as directed in the discharge of cleaning operations or maintenance procedures (after receiving proper instruction and training, and in accordance with current COSHH directions)
- Washing walls or cleaning inside windowpanes, where necessary
- Ensuring the cleanliness of the stores & that all purchases are put away in strict stock rotation.
- To ensure adherence to all procedures within the School's Health and Safety policy.
- Assisting in the implantation of the kitchen cleaning schedules to the agreed standards.
- Reporting immediately any incidents of, accidents, fire, theft, loss damage, unfit food or other irregularities & taking such action as may be appropriate or possible.
- All other such duties as the School may reasonably, from time to time, communicate either orally or in writing to you.
- Inform the Head Housekeeper of any damage or faults you may notice within the School.
Package Description: Location: Repton Prep. Remote site and own transport is essential.
Contract Type: Permanent, term-time only (plus clean up and clean down)
Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 5pm to 9pm.
Salary: £13.50 per hour
