Salary: £85 - £110 per day

GSL Education is seeking a skilled and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work in primary schools in North Shields, Tyne and Wear.

Job Summary: The HLTA will provide high-quality support to teachers and pupils across the primary phase, including delivering lessons, supervising classes without the teacher, and providing targeted support to individual and small groups of students.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead classes under the direction of the teacher, delivering pre-planned lessons.
Provide support and guidance to pupils in their learning activities.
Assist with the planning and preparation of teaching materials and resources.
Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of pupils' progress.
Requirements:

Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
Previous experience working as an HLTA or in a similar role.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
Please note: This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful candidates must satisfy all background checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
