Health & Safety Advisor - Southern BasedSalary: £50,000 - £55,000Location: South-East UK (Sizewell B Power Station or Dungeness B Power Station) with travel across other sites.

We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to support our Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) team in delivering people-based safety solutions to meet operational and contractual requirements. This role involves working closely with key operational stakeholders and building strong relationships to ensure safety standards are maintained across projects.

Role OverviewAs a Health & Safety Advisor, you will be integral to the growth of our Specialist Services Business Units, which include Nuclear Operations, Cleanrooms, Infrastructure, and E&I. This is an exciting opportunity to act as a trusted advisor, helping guide supervisors and managers through the expansion of our projects and supporting our commitment to exceptional safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with project teams to provide comprehensive safety and health advisory services, ensuring safe working environments.
  • Oversee Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) compliance and processes for project sites.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Support investigations into incidents, illnesses, and injuries to identify root causes and propose preventative measures.
  • Collaborate with leadership and HR teams on safety initiatives and development of subcontractor HSE performance.
  • Prepare data-driven insights and presentations to support HSEQ improvements.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Qualifications: NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent safety qualification; H&S MSc or Chartered MIOSH status preferred.
  • Experience: At least 3 years in a construction site environment; nuclear experience preferred.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of HSE practices and systems, including performance management and safety culture.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, project management, problem-solving, and analytical abilities; ability to influence and engage at all levels.
