Welder Fabricator

Hourly Rate: £15.00 TO £17.00 per hour doe

Job Type: Full-time (Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm)Reed Engineering and Manufacturing is actively recruiting for a client seeking a dedicated Fabricator. This role is integral to the fabrication of steel frames ranging from 6mm to 20mm in thickness. The successful Fabricator will be proficient in interpreting technical drawings to ensure accurate placement of welded plates on the final assembly, maintaining the highest standards of quality.

Our client is a well-established and respected business within their field, known for their well-organised operations and a clean, well-maintained facility. The current production manager has progressed to this position from the role of a Fabricator and is intimately familiar with the challenges and intricacies of the role. This understanding has fostered a supportive work environment focused on teamwork and quality. The addition of a new Fabricator to the team is a strategic move to ensure that existing staff members receive the support they need to continue delivering exceptional work.

Day-to-day of the role:

As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for the precise fabrication of steel frames, adhering to specified measurements and quality standards.
Interpret technical drawings to ensure the correct placement of welded plates on the final assembly.
Collaborate with a team of welders, providing guidance to ensure the production of high-quality work.
Cover for other team members as necessary, engaging in all aspects of preparation and fabrication of parts.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols.Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in a role as a Fabricator, with a focus on steel frame fabrication.
Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and perform fabrication tasks accurately.
Experience within a BS EN 1090 environment is highly beneficial.
Excellent teamwork skills, capable of supporting and covering for others.
A commitment to quality, with a keen attention to detail and craftsmanship.Benefits:
