Senior Compliance Officer

Are you an experienced Senior Compliance Officer with a passion for ensuring the highest standards in recruitment compliance?

A London healthcare recruitment company is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Compliance Officer to join their dynamic Medical Nursing Team.

About the role:

You will play an integral part in gathering and processing documentation from new and existing candidates to allow them to go out to work in the Medical Nursing sector.

This role has the potential to lead into a managerial role where you will lead the compliance team managing future compliance officers.

Responsibilities:

* Manage the entire compliance process from initial candidate contact to final clearance, ensuring minimal documentation is sent to consultants.

* Ensure compliance checks on all new candidates as well as ensure any existing temporary workers' documentation remains up to date.

* Assist the Compliance Manager with strategic planning

* Obtain candidate references via email and telephone.

* Answer incoming calls and deal with queries in a polite and professional manner.

* Submit audits within deadlines as well as have the ability to respond to audit queries from clients without supervision.

* Possess in-depth knowledge of all the Medical Nursing sector and its compliance requirements.

* Update managed vendors with renewed documents.

* Provide regular feedback to managers on compliance issues and delays, ensuring process changes are implemented.

* Compile monthly and ad-hoc reports (internal audits, etc.).

* Ability to process placement forms across all divisions.

Senior Compliance Officer Profile:

* A minimum of 3 years' experience with nursing compliance.

* Experience working with framework audits.

* Experience getting in excess of 15 files a month compliant.

* Experience working on a variety of nurses (RGN, ITU, Paediatric, RMNs, Midwifes).

* Extensive experience of screening candidates within a nursing health care recruitment setting.

* Experience of training/mentoring new and existing team members within the compliance team.

* Ability to work as part of a team.

* Experience being the point of contact for compliance-related queries both internally and externally.

* Proven ability to work independently and take initiative in managing compliance tasks.

* High attention to detail and accuracy.

* Extensive time management, organisational and planning skills.

* Ability to manage and prioritise a variety of different tasks with multiple deadlines.

* High level of interpersonal communications skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate concerns and issues diplomatically.

* Professional telephone manner and positive team presence.

* Ability to work collaboratively with staff at all levels and with external stakeholders.

* Excellent IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office packages and various software.
