We're currently looking for a proactive Strategy Futures Manager on a full time permanent basis, sitting within the Strategy Development team. We are flexible on the location of this role.
In this role, you'll be instrumental in leading our analysis of trends in the external landscape, emerging customer needs and behaviours, and in ACCA's competitive environment, ensuring ACCA responds effectively.
This high-quality analysis will require assessment of those trends in order to distil them into clear explanation of the impacts for ACCA and providing recommendations around what ACCA's response ought to be to stay ahead. You will also lead projects and support strategic reviews that may be instigated by this analysis and insight.
The Job
Reporting to the Head of Strategy Development on a day-to-day basis, you'll be involved in the following:
- Leading on collating and initiating external trend analysis giving a view on the current and future environment for ACCA. You will play a key role in monitoring the external landscape relevant to ACCA, including trends in the profession and key external trends such as around technology and sustainability, and understanding of customer behaviours.
- Playing a key role on projects to generate deep analysis in order to provide strategic recommendations. You will play a key role in leading projects which could include analysing long-term performance to understand potential root causes and emerging strategic trends to estimate potential impact with recommendations.
- Ensuring an in-depth knowledge of ACCA's competitive and partner landscape to communicate key insights and findings. You will monitor and analyse ACCA's competitive landscape for key activities and strategic changes as well as identifying any significant changes within key partners' strategies with a view to what this might mean and potential actions.
- Managing key risk management processes on behalf of the Strategy Team and supporting data analysis around risks, including geopolitics. You will be co-ordinating risk activities for the Strategy team and take the lead on collating insights and testing risk information around geopolitics.
- Providing key support to critical strategy development, planning, and investment activity and processes. You will be a critical support to the Strategy Development team to ensure critical activities are completed to a high standard as well as playing a greater role over time in the technical and strategic thinking process. You will also provide a key data analyst role in supporting internal models.

- Has experience in related and relevant settings, ideally having strategy knowledge
- Can take initiative intelligently and is a self-starter
- Can prove aptitude to perform data analysis and able to make informed judgements from data and insights to demonstrate the impact to create informed and balanced conclusions
- Demonstrates ability to work in partnership/cross-functionally, recognising diverse perspectives across globally distributed, multinational teams, and able to positively influence, collaborate, and guide strategic activity
- Demonstrates curiosity and is astute, and comfortable at pushing boundaries to challenge the status quo
- Can create clear, succinct, and compelling reports and presentations with content tailored to the appropriate audience
- Focuses on delivery and meeting deadlines through balancing multiple priorities that may surface simultaneously
- Has a clear ability to learn quickly, with commitment to continuous self-development.
