Our client is a specialist PRS/BTR property business with strong financial backing from a global PERE firm. The business has recently acquired two substantial portfolios within Southeast England as they continue their expansion programme.
The business has an opening for an experienced and knowledgeable Accounts Payable Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable team and ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports. The Accounts Payable Manager manager will monitor and analyse AP processes, develop and maintain policies and procedures, and work closely with other departments to ensure efficient operations.
This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly growing business. Reporting directly to a Senior Finance Manager, this role will pay £50k - £55k plus up to 20% bonus and benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Accounts Payable Manager will have ooversight of the AP team and ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports.
- Monitor and analyse Accounts Payable processes and recommend improvements. The Accounts Payable Manager will also ddevelop and maintain relevant policies and procedures
- Work with other departments, to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices
- Manage vendor relationships and hold responsibility for Reconciliation of supplier statements.
- Prepare and analyse Accounts Payable reports, including any aged reports
- Facilitate accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes for Accounts Payable
- The Accounts Payable Manager will train, coach and develop AP staff
- Ensure effective operation of bank reconciliation process, investigating variances and discrepancies
Ideal Candidate Skills/Qualifications & Competencies:
- Strong track record gained within accounts payable function, including demonstrable experience as an AP Manager and team management/development experience.
- Yardi Voyager experience is a crucial requirement for this role
- Strong proficiency in Excel
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive attitude and capable to enforce policies and push back on status quo
- Experience in process improvement, project management and implementing best practice
