Nurture Teacher!

You didn't get into teaching to follow scripts. You did it because you know some children need more than standard lessons. They need someone who sees their potential, no matter their challenges. If that sounds like you, keep reading.

We're looking for a Nurture Teacher who's ready to make a real impact on the lives of children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This isn't your average teaching role—it's about giving children the focused support they need to thrive, both inside and outside the classroom.

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £32,650 - £46,150

Contract: Full-time, for the remainder of the academic year

Start Date: Immediate

The Role:

You'll be working with small groups, delivering a tailored curriculum that goes beyond academics. Your classroom will be a place where students can grow in confidence and feel safe to express themselves. You'll also be backed by two skilled Teaching Assistants who are as dedicated to these children as you are.

MORNING: You'll be working with a small group of KS2 children, where you'll be delivering Maths, Literacy and SPAG.

AFTERNOON: You'll be working with non-verbal children supported by their teaching assistants.

Why This Job Stands Out:
• Small Class Sizes: Working with 12 children at a time means you get to truly connect and tailor your teaching to meet their individual needs.
• Teamwork: You won't be on your own. You'll have the support of experienced Teaching Assistants, so you can really focus on what you do best—teaching and nurturing.
• Tailored Curriculum: You'll deliver lessons that are designed specifically to support these children's emotional and academic growth. It's not about ticking boxes; it's about real, lasting impact. You'll be responsible for creating amazing lessons for your groups!
• A School That Gets It: What sets this school apart? It's their commitment to building trust and fostering creativity. They understand that to teach these children, you need to meet them where they are.

Who You Are:
• You have QTS, PGCE, or equivalent, and you're ready to use it in a role that actually makes a difference.
• You're not just a teacher—you're a mentor, a guide, and a role model for children who need more than academic lessons. You understand the importance of emotional support.
• You thrive in a setting where small groups mean big results, and you're at your best when helping kids who need tailored, one-on-one attention.

Why You'll Love This School:

This isn't a place where creativity is stifled or where you'll have to stick to rigid rules. You'll be part of a school that puts trust, creativity, and support at the heart of its approach. You'll have the freedom to bring out the best in these children—both academically and personally—in a positive, empowering environment.
